Mission Statement:
The
mission of the Seven Oaks Crime Watch Patrol is to maintain a dignified proactive patrol organization comprised of volunteer homeowners from
our community. The CWP will maintain close affiliation with the Pasco
County Sheriff's Office in order to preserve a high standard of
protection for our community. We are observers and reporters of
criminal activity and the eyes and ears of the Sheriff's Office.
Program History
The Seven Oaks Crime Watch Patrol was created in mid 2008 in an effort to make our community a safe, and aware area. We strongly believe that the key to preventing crime, and increasing property values, is having a viable Crime Watch Program.
Benefits of Crime Watch Patrol
There are obvious benefits Crime Watch volunteers and their communities have experienced throughout the years such as:
- a reduction in crime
- a better quality of life
- a greater sense of security, responsibility, and personal control
- building community pride and unity
- increased home values
- possible decrease in homeowners insurance
- preparing for helping others and ourselves in our community
- providing law enforcement agencies with volunteer support year round
- becoming the extra “eyes and ears” of law enforcement personnel and therefore reduce law enforcement‘s burden and improving their level of service.
